Job Summary

The Cloud/DevOps Engineer will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and managing AWS-centric cloud architectures to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective systems. Focused on automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—ranging from software developers to product managers—to meet both customer needs and business objectives. With an emphasis on continuous improvement and innovation, this role requires a proactive mindset to drive thought leadership and mentor peers within the organization. The position requires a full-time in-office commitment in Bangalore with an expected start date in 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Design & Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize AWS-centric cloud architectures using best practices to ensure high performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• DevOps Automation & CI/CD Implementation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and AWS CodePipeline along with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, emphasizing IaC methodologies.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Engage actively with cross-functional teams—including DevOps, software development, and product management—to align technical solutions with project goals.
• Project Leadership & Client Engagement: Take a leading role in cloud deployment projects, drive architectural discussions, manage client requirements, and translate feedback into actionable solutions.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Experiment with emerging cloud technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance system performance, security, and scalability.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor team members, contribute to internal training sessions, and foster a collaborative culture that sets industry standards.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing AWS-centric cloud architectures (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• DevOps & Automation: Strong background in creating automated CI/CD pipelines and utilizing containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Demonstrated ability to implement and manage IaC solutions for rapid and scalable deployments.
• Serverless & Monitoring: Familiarity with serverless architectures and cloud-native monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch.
• Development Background: Experience with backend development and system design, influencing both high-level and detailed architecture decisions.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven ability to drive collaboration and mentor team members.
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Experience in front-end development
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and its cloud services
• Familiarity with AI integration within cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in cloud engineering and DevOps, with a strong emphasis on AWS and DevOps automation practices.

Salary

Salary range: 1,000,000 - 2,000,000 per annum
