Job Summary

The mission of the API Office is to empower the community to design, create, and maintain impactful API products. This is achieved by providing API consulting, promoting API lifecycle standards and best practices, and leading the execution of the API Strategy to improve the firm's API maturity model. As an API Technical Architect, you will strategize and provide solutions that support the API development lifecycle, promoting products and services that enable the developer community to deliver quality APIs and reduce time to market【4:0†JD_ MuleSoft API Technical Architect.pdf】.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and use cases.
• Lead the design and development of API solutions adhering to API principles, standards, and best practices.
• Advise product development teams on API Lifecycle Management standards and best practices, promoting a culture of API First.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API architecture and integration【4:2†JD_ MuleSoft API Technical Architect.pdf】.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Overall 15+ years of industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience architecting and supporting integration of scalable applications/API solutions.
• Proven experience in designing APIs using Open API Specification and working with an API Management platform.
• Knowledge of API security standards, including OAuth2.0/OpenIDConnect.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and organizational skills【4:2†JD_ MuleSoft API Technical Architect.pdf】.

Preferred Skills

• Proven experience with contract testing and mocking services.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot and as a MuleSoft Architect.
• Experience using Agile product development methods.
• Experience designing APIs with a consumer-driven design approach.
• MuleSoft Certified Architect.

Experience
