Job Description
<div>The position will be responsible for testing and characterizing Lithium-Ion cells as part of the Battery Systems Team.<br />
<br />
Key Responsibilities General Lead the effort in battery cell qualification and defining the requirements for battery product quality, development schedule, BOM cost, and performance and ageing parameters Testing Develop standard as well as unconventional test protocols to evaluate performance, safety and age of cells of different chemistries to meet product engineering requirements and applicable safety and future zero regulatory standards.<br />

Establish procedures, SOP and mentor co-workers Perform Performance and Aging Characterization Write/automate test scripts and plan cell testing while maximizing utilization of available channels and resources Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve operational test issues and/or determine required involvement of appropriate support groups when problems occur Data and Reporting Perform post-test data processing to ensure clean and error-free data and reports Developing data analysis scripts to interpret cell test data Perform analysis to interpret results of cell testing. Summarize results and report to internal stakeholders for decision making.</div>
<div>Generate and thoroughly document project work, draw conclusions, and make recommendations and review with management Process Planning and Resource Management Create project plans and timelines, and assist management with defining budget requirements Procurement of supplies and infrastructure to enhance testing capabilities Generate and implement ideas that continuously improve the work environment, systems, tools, and processes as well as product cost and quality.</div>

You Should Bring Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electrochemical Engineering Or Physics/Math is required.<br />
Experience of 8 to 10 years working on industrial R&D specifically related to lithium-ion cell testing and pack manufacturing.<br />
Familiar with statistical analysis methods and evaluate the testing data; Able to determine the material and product specifications and set the tolerances.<br />
Familiar with a variety of electrical testing standards, concepts, practices and procedures Deep understanding of electrochemistry and material science to interpret phenomena in test data and aid in decision making Experience with programming (Python or similar) and data analysis.<br />
Project planning and organizational skills.<br />
