Business Development Field Executive (Intern)

Job Summary

As a Business Development Field Executive (Intern), you will play a critical role in expanding our seller network by engaging directly with businesses in the travel and leisure sector. You will focus on onboarding clients such as walking tour operators, adventure parks, activity providers, and other experience-based businesses onto the Highway delite platform. Key responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, addressing client queries, and ensuring the completion of sign-ups and onboarding documentation. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on field experience in business development and contribute to the growth of a dynamic digital commerce ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential sellers, including walking tour operators, adventure parks, and activity-based service providers.
  • Visit client locations to introduce the Highway delite platform, understand client business needs, and explain the platform’s value proposition.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase platform features, benefits, and seller tools.
  • Guide clients through the onboarding process, including facilitating documentation and agreement signing.
  • Coordinate with internal onboarding and support teams to ensure smooth registration and activation.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, progress, and client interactions using the CRM system.
  • Participate in business development events and local outreach campaigns as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; confidence in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to understand and explain digital platforms and business tools.
  • Comfortable working independently and in field-based roles.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven attitude.
  • Educational Qualification: Open to undergraduates, graduates, or current students (no specific degree required).

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with CRM or lead tracking tools.
  • Prior internship or project experience in business development, field sales, or client onboarding.
  • Interest or background in tourism, hospitality, or digital commerce.
  • Multilingual abilities, especially in regional/local languages, are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum Experience: 0 years (open to freshers and current students).
  • Relevant Experience: Any exposure to business development, field sales, client onboarding, or project work in related industries is a plus.

Environment

  • Work Setting: Field-based internship requiring travel to client locations.
  • Locations: Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Gujarat, Punjab, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra.
  • The role involves direct interactions with local businesses and participation in outreach campaigns.

Salary

  • Stipend: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month.
