Job Summary

The Head of Human Resources will serve as a credible and trusted partner to the Founders and the leadership team. This role entails developing and executing the Human Capital strategy, addressing both short- and long-term human capital challenges while driving organizational effectiveness. The HR leader will bring a high level of ownership and bias for action to foster a people-centric impact within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Founders and leadership team to achieve financial objectives by ensuring the availability of talent in key positions.
  • Define and align the HR and people strategy and framework with the business aspirations and structure.
  • Drive leadership team development and retention through talent reviews and performance evaluations, addressing underperformance as necessary.
  • Build HR processes and systems to support company growth, including performance management programs and career development tools.
  • Oversee compliance on people-related matters and implement technology for effective HR service delivery.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-caliber HR team, ensuring all HR personnel meet the demands of business growth.
  • Embody and promote the organization’s culture as a visible and influential leader within the company.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 15-18 years in HR, with recent roles as Head of HR (Chief Human Resources Officer) in smaller setups or as an HR Business Partner in larger organizations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in Fintech, E-commerce, or Consumer Technology sectors. Experience managing product and technology talent is preferred, with some flexibility for candidates from Financial Services (especially lending).
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to break down strategies into actionable items, engage teams, and influence leadership decisions.
  • Core Competencies: Strong execution focus with high bias for action, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of making prudent financial decisions.
  • Team Development: Expertise in talent acquisition and development, with the ability to address underperformance effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: High self-awareness, humility, integrity, and the ability to foster professional relationships throughout the organization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in HR Metrics, KPI Analysis, Change Management, and HR Compliance.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to companies recognized for best-in-class HR processes.
  • Strong data-driven analytical skills, utilizing metrics for decision-making and performance evaluation.

Experience

  • 15-18 years of experience in human resources, preferably with leadership experience in smaller organizations or within an HRBP role at a larger company.

Environment

This role is based in Mumbai and will report directly to the Founder.
