DevOps Engineer/Architect (GCP)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer/Architect (GCP) with 7–8 years of hands-on experience in cloud-native environments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable DevOps solutions primarily on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a key role in architecting CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and ensuring overall system performance and security. This is a contract position for 6 months, extendable up to 1 year, offering flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines: Utilize GCP-native tools and other DevOps technologies to streamline and automate deployment processes.
• Manage infrastructure as code: Use Terraform or similar tools to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Maintain scalable cloud infrastructure: Set up and maintain cloud environments ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems: Continuously monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal security and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and enhanced operational capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7–8 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in GCP: Proficient with Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, GKE, IAM, Cloud Storage, among other GCP services.
• Infrastructure as Code: Solid experience with Terraform or comparable tools, including deployment automation.
• CI/CD Tools: Proficiency using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or similar tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Scripting: Competency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with systems monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Stackdriver.
• Networking & Security: A good understanding of networking protocols, security best practices, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

• GCP Certification: Credentials like Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect are a plus.
• Additional familiarity with GitHub Actions for GKE deployments is appreciated.

Experience

• 7–8 Years of relevant experience in DevOps roles managing cloud infrastructures, with significant work on the Google Cloud Platform.

Environment

• Work Setting: This position offers flexibility with Remote, Hybrid, and Onsite options (Pune or Gurgaon).
• Working Hours: Flexible working hours with options such as 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM IST or 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM IST.

Salary

• Budget: 1.5L
