Job Title: Head of Operations – E-commerce
Location: Panchkula
Experience: 10–15 years
Compensation: ₹20–25 LPA

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Operations to lead and scale all operational aspects of our e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automation tools, supply chain management (SCM), logistics, warehouse operations, customer experience, and cross-border e-commerce operations.

This role requires a strategic leader who can streamline processes, optimize efficiency, and drive cost-effective growth across national and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement the overall operations strategy aligned with business goals.

Drive process optimization and efficiency across order management, fulfillment, logistics, and customer service.

Introduce automation and digital tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability of operations.

2. Supply Chain & Logistics

Manage end-to-end supply chain: procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and last-mile delivery.

Identify and onboard logistics partners for domestic and international shipping.

Optimize supply chain performance using analytics, forecasting, and demand planning tools.

3. Automation & Technology

Implement automation tools (ERP, WMS, OMS, RPA, etc.) to improve operational efficiency.

Collaborate with tech and product teams to integrate AI/ML-based automation for order tracking, returns, and inventory.

Drive adoption of data-driven dashboards and analytics for decision-making.

4. Cross-Border Operations

Manage international fulfillment, customs, compliance, and global logistics partners.

Optimize cost structures and service levels for cross-border e-commerce operations.

5. Budgeting & P&L Management

Prepare and manage operational budgets and forecasts.

Drive cost optimization without compromising service levels.

Ensure financial discipline and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency.

6. Team Leadership

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team across functions and geographies.

Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Management.

10+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.

Proven expertise in SCM, logistics, automation tools, and process optimization.

Strong understanding of e-commerce technology platforms (Shopify, Magento, custom platforms, etc.).

Experience in domestic and international e-commerce operations.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Tools & Technologies

ERP: SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Zoho ERP

WMS / OMS: Unicommerce, Vinculum, EasyEcom, or similar

Automation / RPA: UiPath, Automation Anywhere

Analytics: Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio
