Job Description
<div>Roles and responsibilities:<br />
Overall<br />
1. Work closely with business team of all brands and support the founders in the decision making<br />
for all brands – planning, budgeting and evaluation of performance.<br />
2. Overseeing the accounts, audit, tax, regulatory and corporate law compliances to be undertaken<br />
by the company<br />
3. Lead automation of processes, systems and controls (for finance department)<br />
Planning, budgeting, forecasting and evaluation of performance<br />
1. Take ownership for budgeting (including estimates for sales, costs, investments, cash-flow) and<br />
financial forecasts and perform variance analysis. Overseeing the overall financial discipline of<br />
the company and keeping stakeholders posted on the financial health of the Company.<br />
2. Preparation of cash flows on a regular basis to evaluate working capital and funding<br />
requirements of the company<br />
3. Review procedures relating to the preparation of the company's plans / budgets / forecasts and<br />
controls pertaining to key finance activities, monitor adherence to the relevant processes,<br />
policies and take timely action in case of deviations<br />
MIS reporting and performance analysis<br />
1. Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports required by the management and<br />
discuss the same<br />
2. Monitor business numbers across channels: assess each door’s performance vis-à-vis costs;<br />
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve revenue/top line – P/L optimisation<br />
3. Analyse all expenses and ensure controls are in place to ensure profitability; Drive the action<br />
plan to take corrective measures as required<br />
Accounting and other compliance<br />
1. Oversee the finance, accounting, tax, secretarial & other regulatory compliances and ensure<br />
timely completion and reporting to respective authorities/stakeholders<br />
2. Liaise with auditors & consultants and take ownership for audit & due diligence closures<br />
3. Ensure development of effective taxation strategies and plans, implement and monitor their<br />
effectiveness to optimize tax impact<br />
Funding and investor relations<br />
1. Support the founders with the raising of funds for the company. Lead the due diligence process<br />
and ensure timely completion of all compliance post funding.<br />
2. Assist the founders in preparing and discussing the reports with investors in a timely manner<br />
Automation<br />
1. Assist process teams in automating processes, developing internal controls to assess and<br />
manage financial risk<br />
2. Lead the process for setting up/implementation of processes, systems and controls for finance<br />
team</div>

2. Ability to work in a dynamic & fast moving environment<br />
Education and Experience:<br />
1. Qualified CPA / CA with 5-7 years’ experience in managing finance operations in a fast-growth<br />
company<br />
2. Past experience of working with start-ups in operational finance roles<br />
Past fund-raising experience desirable<br />
Experience of managing teams of 2-3 professionals</div>
