Job Summary
The Social-First Creative Strategist will own the attention layer of the brand by developing and executing innovative social media strategies. This individual is a creative thinker with a deep understanding of content performance, focusing on hooks, retention, virality, and emotional storytelling. The role aims to create consistent, high-performing content that drives audience engagement and aligns with the organization’s goals.
Responsibilities
- Build a social-first content strategy across Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Write reel concepts, hooks, scripts, and storyboards.
- Create founder content formats and repeatable content properties.
- Study trends and adapt quickly before they become overused.
- Improve watch time and retention metrics across formats.
- Work closely with editors and videographers to bring concepts to life.
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio with proven content performance – not just impressions, but also saves, shares, and retention.
- Understanding of viral content; ability to explain why specific content worked.
- Social-native thinking; approaches content in formats, rather than briefs.
- Strong writing abilities for hooks, scripts, captions, and concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with paid social media advertising.
- Knowledge of design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for creating visual content.
- Ability to develop and manage social media budgets.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media strategy or creative marketing.

Salary
