Job Summary

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs using Python. This role is pivotal in building and integrating backend components and services to support web and mobile applications, while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs using Python.
• Build and integrate backend components and services to support web and mobile applications.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Python and at least one web framework (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Django).
  • Solid experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with API design principles, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and rate limiting.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Good understanding of version control using Git.
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and take full ownership of assigned tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with asynchronous programming using asyncio or similar tools.
• Knowledge of message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Exposure to Microservices architecture.
• Basic understanding of Data Engineering or Machine Learning pipelines.
