Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator with extensive experience in MySQL and Oracle databases. The role involves managing, optimizing, and securing database systems to ensure high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will contribute to the organization’s goals through effective database management and support.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain the MySQL and Oracle database environments.
• Implement database backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure data reliability.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Collaborate with development teams to provide database support for application development projects.
• Develop and implement database security policies to safeguard sensitive data.
• Troubleshoot database issues and implement solutions to restore service quickly.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in database administration, specifically with MySQL and Oracle databases.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Experience with backup and recovery processes.
• Familiarity with database security best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in database administration.

Environment

• Work from office (Hybrid) setting located in Hyderabad / Bangalore.

Salary

• Estimated CTC of 1.8 LPM based on experience.
