Job Summary
The ETL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into a data warehouse. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity and availability, enabling data analytics and reporting that support organizational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Analyze data requirements and ensure effective data integration from multiple sources.
- Perform data mapping, data validation, and data cleansing.
- Troubleshoot and optimize ETL processes to improve performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to define data requirements.
- Document ETL processes and maintain technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, or Apache Nifi).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ETL Developer or in a similar role.
Environment
