Job Description:

As a Fashion Designer at NewMw, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our clothing lines, ensuring they reflect our brand's ethos and meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Development: Collaborate with the design team to create original concepts for new collections. Develop sketches, illustrations, and mood boards to communicate your ideas effectively.

2. Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends, attending fashion shows, trade fairs, and conducting research to incorporate relevant and innovative ideas into your designs.

3. Material Selection: Source and select appropriate fabrics, materials, and accessories that align with the design concept while ensuring sustainability and quality.

4. Pattern Making: Create patterns, prototypes, and samples for garments, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.

5. Product Testing: Work closely with the production and quality control teams to oversee the fitting and testing of prototypes, making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired design.

6. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation for manufacturers, ensuring the accurate reproduction of designs.

7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and production, to ensure a seamless transition from design to production to retail.

8. Quality Assurance: Maintain a strong commitment to quality and oversee the manufacturing process to ensure that the final products meet design and quality standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative abilities.
3. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
4. Knowledge of textiles, fabric properties, and garment construction techniques.
5. Strong understanding of current fashion trends and consumer preferences.
