Job Summary

The Cloud Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud Linux environments. This role is pivotal in providing technical guidance, support, and leadership in the execution of cloud-based projects, contributing to the organization's cloud strategy and infrastructure modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support Linux server infrastructures and storage systems in an enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with application architects and DevOps teams to upgrade Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) applications to Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• Create and implement solutions supporting a DevOps approach to service delivery and operations.
• Ensure cloud solutions comply with security and compliance controls, including data sovereignty.
• Interact with stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements and manage change requests.
• Drive system reliability, availability, scaling, and performance enhancement activities.
• Provide consultative support to clients for production incidents and perform root cause analysis during problem management reviews.
• Analyze and validate technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 8 years of total experience, with at least 6 years relevant experience in Cloud Linux.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Red Hat Linux and Red Hat clustering.
  • Strong understanding of Azure PaaS and IaaS environments.
  • Experience with Azure PowerShell scripting for resource deployment.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native and third-party tools for management and automation.
  • Understanding of WAN networking, ExpressRoute, VPN, and Active Directory integrations.
• Certifications:
  • Red Hat Linux Certification.
  • ITIL Certification.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of scripting and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience in migration and upgrading projects.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 6 years specifically in Cloud Linux environments.

Environment

• The role offers flexibility with operations in Bangalore and Chennai offices.
• Shift timings align with CST hours.
• Immediate joining is preferred, indicating urgency in filling the position.

Salary

• Compensation for this role is approximately 15 Lakh INR.
