Job Title: Finance Manager (CA) Company: High Jump Retail Location: Gurgaon, India Reports To: Founder Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to manage pre-launch manufacturing expenses, invoicing, GST compliance, and ledger maintenance for our operations in India and China. This role involves coordinating with multiple manufacturers, handling registrations, processing payments, and overseeing the financial health of the business before the launch phase. The ideal candidate will have experience in expense management, manufacturing finance operations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities: 1. Expense Management: o Oversee all pre-launch manufacturing-related expenses. o Monitor and manage cost-related activities across both Indian and Chinese manufacturing facilities. o Review and approve payments related to manufacturing, raw materials, and any other associated costs. 2. Invoicing & Payments: o Ensure accurate invoicing from multiple manufacturers across India and China. o Liaise with manufacturers to resolve any discrepancies or issues regarding payments and invoices. o Manage timely processing of payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors. 3. GST & Taxation Compliance: o Ensure timely GST returns filing, along with accurate computation and documentation of GST. o Liaise with internal and external tax consultants to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws. o Handle all registrations related to GST, ensuring all manufacturers and suppliers are compliant. 4. Ledger Maintenance & Reporting: o Maintain a robust system for recording all financial transactions in the general ledger. o Regular reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. o Prepare financial reports for management, outlining expenses, liabilities, and forecasts. 5. Collaboration with Teams: o Work closely with the operations and procurement teams to track expenses, align budgets, and maintain accurate financial forecasts. o Coordinate with external manufacturers, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth financial operations across borders. Skills & Qualifications: CA (Chartered Accountant) certification is mandatory. 4-5+ years of experience in finance, with a strong understanding of manufacturing expense management and GST compliance. Proficient in financial accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers (especially in India and China) is a plus. Strong understanding of GST laws, invoicing, and payment processing. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with manufacturers and internal stakeholders. Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues and solutions.
