We’re Hiring | Data Annotation Specialist – Construction Quality & Safety

Contineu is looking for detail-oriented and motivated individuals to join our Data Quality & Annotation Systems team.

We work with 360° construction-site imagery to identify and annotate construction defects, quality issues, and safety observations. As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring that construction data is accurately captured and maintained according to our defined standards.

🔍 What You’ll Do

- Review 360° construction-site imagery and panoramic images.

- Identify and annotate construction defects and quality issues.

- Identify and annotate construction-site safety issues and unsafe conditions.

- Classify defects and safety observations according to defined taxonomies.

- Identify issues such as PPE non-compliance, fall hazards, missing barricading, unsafe access, housekeeping issues, unsafe material storage, exposed hazards, and other site-safety conditions.

- Follow project-specific annotation guidelines and quality standards.

- Perform self-QC before submitting tasks.

- Review and correct annotations based on feedback from QC Leads.

- Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and productivity.

- Escalate unclear or ambiguous cases to the QC team.

- Participate in training and calibration sessions.

- Complete assigned tasks within defined turnaround times.

- Report unclear guidelines, recurring issues, or annotation-platform problems to the QC team.

⭐ Good to Have

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

- Previous experience in data annotation, image annotation, visual inspection, QA/QC, or construction.

- Experience with tools such as CVAT, Label Studio, or similar annotation platforms.

- Understanding of construction activities and building components.

- Basic understanding of construction-site safety practices.

- Experience working with 360° or panoramic imagery.

- Previous construction QA/QC or safety inspection experience.

👤 Preferred Candidate

- Have a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background.

- Can identify construction defects and safety issues from visual information.

🎓 Education & Experience

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
