Job Description
JD: Lead-Insurance Products
Role Purpose: To lead the end-to-end insurance vertical across Life, General, and Health insurance products, driving product strategy, revenue growth, partner management, regulatory compliance, and seamless integration with sales, digital, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
∙ Own and drive the overall insurance product strategy across Life, Health, and General Insurance. ∙ Design, launch, and manage competitive insurance offerings aligned with customer needs and market trends.
∙ Periodically review product performance, pricing, commissions, and profitability. Insurer & Partner Management
∙ Manage strategic relationships with insurance companies, TPAs, and service partners. ∙ Negotiate commercial terms, commissions, SLAs, and product configurations with insurers. ∙ Ensure smooth onboarding of new insurers and products.
Revenue & Business Growth
∙ Own insurance revenue, margins, and P&L for the vertical.
∙ Work closely with sales, broking, wealth, and distribution teams to drive insurance penetration. ∙ Develop incentive structures, contests, and campaigns to boost productivity and revenue.
Digital & Process Enablement
∙ Collaborate with tech and digital teams for system integration, product journeys, APIs, and automation.
∙ Improve customer experience through simplified journeys, faster issuance, and claims facilitation. ∙ Drive MIS, dashboards, and analytics for performance tracking.
Compliance & Governance
∙ Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations, internal policies, and insurer guidelines. ∙ Oversee audits, reporting, and regulatory submissions related to insurance business. ∙ Ensure proper documentation, disclosures, and policy servicing standards.
Team Leadership
∙ Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing insurance product and support team. ∙ Define KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive capability development.
Educational Qualification
∙ MBA / Post-Graduate in any discipline
∙ Insurance certifications (IRDAI, LOMA, III, etc.) preferred
Experience
∙ 10–15+ years of experience in insurance product management
∙ Prior experience in handling multiple insurance lines under one portfolio is mandatory ∙ Experience in broking or multi-insurer environments preferred
