Job Summary

The SAP ABAP Developer with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is responsible for designing, building, and deploying applications and extensions on SAP BTP and other clean core technologies such as SAP Build and SAP BTP ABAP environment. This role involves understanding business needs, leveraging BTP components and services, and building next-generation SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP applications following agile methodologies. The developer will ensure quality through reviews, collaborate with stakeholders, and continuously enhance skills while understanding business processes.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions by understanding business requirements and leveraging applicable SAP BTP components and services.
• Build SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP applications and extensions adhering to agile development methodologies.
• Conduct quality reviews including peer reviews, design document reviews, and code reviews to maintain project quality.
• Evaluate and utilize SAP BTP services effectively.
• Drive quality and standards within the software engineering community by proposing innovative solutions and improvements.
• Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Continuously enhance technical skills and seek new areas for personal and professional development.
• Learn and understand relevant business processes to align development efforts accordingly.

Qualifications

• Professional graduation in Engineering or equivalent qualification; additional associated degrees preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while delivering exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions, routines, and accepted practices.

Preferred Skills

• Strong service- and solution-oriented work attitude with high analytical capabilities.
• Eagerness to learn and share knowledge within the community.
• Familiarity with SAP Build Apps is a plus.
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms for citizen development.
• Understanding of SAP BTP platform business values, technical architecture, and service catalog.
• Knowledge of platform services such as Audit Log, HANA Cloud, Notifications, Cloud Foundry, CI/CD, SAP Business Application Studio, Transport Management, and connectivity.

Experience

• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on development experience on SAP S/4HANA.
• At least 2+ years of experience working with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Technical Skills

• Programming languages: ABAP, Java, JavaScript (in Side-by-Side and Core scenarios), Node.js.
• UI development experience with HTML5, SAPUI5/Fiori.
• Development experience with two or more SAP BTP extension technologies:
  • Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
  • ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud ABAP Environment (Embedded Steampunk)
  • Workflow Management
• Knowledge of database features, especially SAP HANA.
• Working knowledge of development tools:
  • SAP ABAP Development Tools (ADT)
  • SAP Business Application Studio (BAS)
• Experience with generic web development stack and standard web technologies.

Salary
