Job Summary

The Lead Software Engineer - Backend (NodeJS) will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust backend solutions. This position focuses on developing scalable applications using Node.js and will integrate various data technologies, including Google Big Query, to support the organization’s objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of backend systems using Node.js and relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features and enhancements.
• Utilize Agile software development methodologies, including JIRA, for project tracking and management.
• Implement RESTful APIs and enforce best practices for API design and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud-based services and system architecture.
• Conduct data analysis and maintain high standards of technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in progressively responsible application engineering roles, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Node.js and backend development.
  • Skilled in Agile methodologies and tools, specifically JIRA (Atlassian).
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and modern design patterns.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and tools such as Google Big Query, Docker, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
  • Familiarity with various data persistence solutions beyond RDBMS, such as Key/Value Stores and Document DBs.
  • Proficiency in REST API design and development best practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, technical writing abilities, and a collaborative team mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to full-stack development practices.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.

Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering and backend development.

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexible work hours and collaboration with teams in various locations.

Salary

The estimated budget for this role is ₹1.7 Lakhs per month.
