Senior ServiceNow Developer – SecOps
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in Security Operations (SecOps), with a particular focus on Vulnerability Management. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions in alignment with business requirements and industry best practices. This role will also support IT Service Management (ITSM) initiatives and ensure seamless system integrations to enhance overall service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create and enhance applications on the ServiceNow platform, with an emphasis on Security Operations (SecOps) and Vulnerability Response modules.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and analyze requirements, translating them into robust ServiceNow solutions.
- ITSM Implementation: Implement and manage ServiceNow ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and CMDB.
- System Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and other integration technologies.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, industry standards, and governance in all development activities.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and work closely with InfoSec and Infrastructure teams to effectively track, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7–10 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- SecOps Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Security Operations, especially Vulnerability Response.
- ITSM Knowledge: Solid understanding of IT Service Management processes.
- Integration Skills: Proven ability to implement ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, SSO, LDAP, and CMDB integrations.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in JavaScript, Glide scripting, update sets, ACLs, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and flow design.
- Conceptual Understanding: In-depth knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management concepts.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement scalable, effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: Possession of relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified System Administrator) is a plus.
- Advanced Integrations: Experience with advanced ServiceNow integrations and performance tuning.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and InfoSec standards.
Experience
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in ServiceNow development and administration, specifically with SecOps and ITSM modules.
