SAP ABAP RAP Developer

Job Summary

The SAP ABAP RAP Developer will specialize in RESTful ABAP Programming Model to support various development scenarios and integration within the SAP ecosystem. This role is essential for implementing cloud-ready technical solutions aligned with S/4HANA architecture, enhancing SAP functionality, and ongoing collaboration with functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP) Models for managed and unmanaged scenarios.
• Design interfaces for integration with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Adobe Forms.
• Implement and utilize SAP ABAP and the RAP Framework including Metadata, EML, Annotations, and Change Sets.
• Integrate solutions with S/4HANA Private Cloud Environment.
• Analyze and design Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) according to business requirements.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams for the delivery, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of SAP functionalities.
• Prepare technical design documents and conduct unit testing.
• Identify areas of improvement and automation in existing RICEFW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
• Manage multiple development tasks and communicate status effectively.
• Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Define user scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP) Model.
  • Proficient in SAP ABAP and RAP Framework.
  • Knowledge of CDS and AMDP development.
  • Strong experience with S/4HANA Private Cloud Integration.
  • Familiarity with RICEFW components analysis.
