Job Summary
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for owning the infrastructure for Silo Fortune's product suite from end-to-end. This role encompasses managing CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, containerization, and ensuring reliability through monitoring and incident response. The engineer will collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance the efficiency of product shipping, operational reliability, and overall scalability of the company.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for all product deployments.
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, ECS or EKS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Containerize applications with Docker and manage orchestration through Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for high availability and uptime.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, manage on-call responses, and conduct post-mortems.
- Automate operational and deployment tasks using Bash and Python scripting.
- Oversee database backups, recovery procedures, and data integrity across products.
- Manage mobile app build pipelines and releases to Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including signing and versioning.
- Handle user access, licenses, internal tooling, and IT administration.
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure within a production environment.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, ECS or EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes or ECS.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Experience with scripting in Bash and Python.
- Solid understanding of Linux administration, networking, and security fundamentals.
- Proven record of publishing and managing mobile app releases on Google Play Console and Apple App Store Connect.
- Comfortable with IT administration tasks including user access and licenses.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud spending optimization techniques.
- Experience with advanced AWS features and services.
Experience
- 2 to 4 years in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles, particularly in production environments.
Environment
- This position is located in J P Nagar, Bengaluru, and will require on-site work for 5 days a week.
