Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our organization as the
Banking Trade Ops Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing
trade finance operations, ensuring smooth and efficient trade transactions for our clients. As a
key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our trade
operations and help drive the growth of our business.
Roles & Responsibilities
● Lead and oversee trade finance operations, including import and export letters of credit,
bank guarantees, and documentary collections.
● Monitor and manage trade finance risks and compliance, ensuring adherence to
international trade regulations and internal policies.
● Develop and implement trade finance strategies to optimize operational efficiency and
enhance customer experience.
● Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as relationship managers and credit risk
officers, to support trade finance business development initiatives.
● Provide guidance and mentorship to trade operations teams, fostering a culture of
excellence and promoting professional growth.
● Establish and maintain relationships with correspondent banks and external service
providers to ensure seamless trade operations.
● Stay updated on industry trends and market developments related to trade finance, and
leverage this knowledge to inform business strategies and initiatives.
Experience & Skill
● Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
● At least 5 years of experience in banking trade finance operations, with a focus on import
and export letters of credit, bank guarantees, and documentary collections.
● Strong understanding and knowledge of international trade regulations, such as UCP
600 (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits), ISBP (International
Standard Banking Practice), URDG (Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees) and
several others.
● Proven track record of successfully managing trade finance risks and compliance.
● Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
teams to achieve business goals.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong
relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a demonstrated
ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
