Job Summary

The GCP + DBT- ED role is designed for an experienced professional who can leverage their expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Data Build Tool (DBT) to manage and transform data effectively. This position involves working independently to build, deploy, and maintain data pipelines that contribute to the organization's data warehousing and engineering goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and Maintain Cloud Data Pipelines: Design and implement data pipelines using GCP services such as Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Run.
• Data Transformation: Utilize DBT for data transformation processes, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Advanced SQL and Python Utilization: Use advanced SQL and Python skills to query and manipulate data efficiently.
• Pipeline Orchestration: Orchestrate data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Database Management: Manage and optimize databases and data structures to support efficient data warehousing.
• Agile Development: Work in an Agile environment to iteratively develop and improve data solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in GCP and DBT.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in advanced SQL, Python, DBT for data transformation, and Pyspark.
• Data Warehousing Knowledge: Strong knowledge of data warehousing principles and practices.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience working with big data cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS).
• DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Testing Practices: Experience with Unit Testing and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Independent Work: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of common databases and data structures.
