Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency across procurement, production, warehousing, inventory, and distribution processes. This role plays a critical part in aligning supply chain activities with the organization's business objectives, driving operational excellence and enhancing overall supply chain performance.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Own and manage the complete supply chain, including manufacturers, raw material suppliers, packaging vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence across procurement, production, warehousing, inventory, and distribution functions.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with third-party manufacturers to develop and execute production plans aligned with demand forecasts.
- Inventory & Materials Planning: Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and packaging materials for production by monitoring inventory levels and optimizing through effective demand planning.
- Warehouse & 3PL Management: Oversee third-party logistics operations, ensuring timely dispatches and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Process Improvement & Performance Management: Establish and monitor key supply chain KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and effective collaboration across teams.
- Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Knowledge: Understanding of supplier management, inventory control, logistics, and production planning principles.
- Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
- Experience in demand forecasting and inventory optimization techniques.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management or a related field, with a track record of managing supply chain operations and driving process improvements.
Environment
A typical work setting may include an office environment with frequent interaction with manufacturing facilities and logistics partners. The role may require on-site visits to supplier and warehouse locations, along with occasional remote work.
