Senior Network Engineer
Job Summary
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting the IT infrastructure across the Head Office and multiple branch locations. This role encompasses network deployment, firewall management, branch connectivity, network security, CCTV systems, IT help desk operations, and team leadership, ensuring that the organization's IT systems are robust, secure, and efficient.
Responsibilities

Network & Firewall Management
- Manage and administer Fortinet FortiGate firewalls across all locations.
- Configure and maintain VPNs (IPSec & SSL) for secure remote access.
- Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, VLANs, and enterprise Wi-Fi networks.
- Ensure maximum network uptime, availability, and security compliance.

Branch Infrastructure Setup
- Plan and execute network infrastructure setup for new branch openings.
- Perform rack setup, structured cabling, and end-to-end connectivity with the help of vendors and partners.
- Integrate branch networks seamlessly with Head Office and Datacentre.

CCTV Systems
- Manage and maintain IP-based CCTV surveillance systems.
- Configure Network Video Recorders (NVRs), IP cameras, and video storage solutions.
- Ensure continuous monitoring, recording uptime, and storage health.

Troubleshooting & Incident Management
- Diagnose and resolve network, firewall, and VPN issues promptly.
- Manage and mitigate outages and connectivity disruptions.
- Investigate and rectify CCTV and network hardware faults.

Monitoring & Network Security
- Proactively monitor network traffic, performance, and firewall logs.
- Identify, assess, and remediate security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices.

IT Help Desk Management
- Oversee day-to-day IT help desk operations across Head Office and branch locations.
- Ensure timely resolution of tickets and adherence to defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Establish and maintain a ticketing system for tracking incidents and requests.
- Develop and maintain an escalation matrix for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 support issues.
- Conduct regular reviews of open tickets, resolution trends, and recurring issues.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex or unresolved IT support cases.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for issue resolution and service delivery.

Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network and IT support engineers.
- Assign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team reviews to assess performance and provide feedback.
- Drive skill development, training programs, and certifications for team members.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enforce team compliance.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of new IT staff as required.

Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, IP address plans, and topology maps.
- Manage IT asset inventory across all office locations.
- Document configurations, processes, and incident resolutions for knowledge management.

User Support
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 support for end-user devices, systems, and network-related issues.
- Provide on-site and remote support to users across all branch locations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Certifications:
- CCNA Certification (Mandatory).
- Additional certifications such as CCNP, NSE (Fortinet), or ITIL are preferred.
- Experience:
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in networking and IT infrastructure roles.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
- Prior experience in financial services or BFSI sector is an advantage.
