Job Summary

The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, procurement, and logistics of electronic components for interactive toys. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability of the products and will involve building and expanding the supplier base to meet strong market demand. The position requires a focus on optimizing costs and maintaining high-quality standards in the supply chain process.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end electronics sourcing, including component sourcing, PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), and qualifying Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) partners.
• Enhance supplier depth by qualifying alternative manufacturers and maintaining high standards for both.
• Oversee component-level demand and supply planning across various SKUs and sales channels, aligning the launch calendar with factory capabilities.
• Source non-toxic plastic alternatives and durable materials while maintaining competitive price points.
• Develop localization and import strategies for the electronics bill of materials, ensuring compliance with EN71 and ASTM F963 standards.
• Lead and manage the existing logistics, procurement, and operations team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronics sourcing at the component level, with ownership of a multi-level Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Experience qualifying and scaling an EMS or PCBA partner independently.
• Strong background in supply chain or procurement within a physical product business, especially consumer electronics, appliances, or electronic toys is preferred.
• Experience in demand planning for multi-SKU and multi-channel operations.
• Existing relationships with Chinese suppliers, agents, or trading houses are an advantage, along with experience conducting sourcing trips and knowledge of export-grade compliance (EN71, ASTM F963, BIS).
• Proven leadership skills to manage a logistics, procurement, and operations team.

Preferred Skills

• Strong negotiation skills and experience in direct supplier relationship management.
• Familiarity with travel logistics for supplier visits without relying on intermediaries.
• Ability to develop a comprehensive China sourcing line.

Experience

• A significant background in supply chain management, ideally 5-10 years of experience within relevant industries.

Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune, India. The role will involve regular interaction with local and international suppliers.
