PhonePe is hiring a Legal Counsel to join their team in Mumbai. This is a onsite role suited to a senior professional with 7+ years of experience in the Fintech space.

You will own outcomes end to end, working closely with cross-functional partners to ship work that reaches real users. The team values clear thinking, direct communication and a bias toward shipping over polishing in private.

• Take ownership of commercial contracts across the team's core initiatives.
• Take ownership of regulatory advisory across the team's core initiatives.
• Take ownership of risk assessment across the team's core initiatives.
• Take ownership of negotiation across the team's core initiatives.
• Take ownership of drafting precision across the team's core initiatives.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally within Fintech or an adjacent domain.
• Demonstrated strength in commercial contracts, regulatory advisory, risk assessment.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and setting your own priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
