Job Summary

The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the functionality, security, and performance of the network while supporting various communication protocols and services to enhance the organization's operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain LAN/WAN/SD-WAN infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Configure and manage networking devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and Session Border Controllers (SBC).
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform network performance analysis to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Implement security measures across the network using secured VPN technologies and network security protocols.
• Automate network tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Monitor network health using various network monitoring tools, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution of issues.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in network engineering or related fields.
• In-depth knowledge of telecom Session Border Controllers (SBC).
• Familiarity with internet routing protocols and concepts such as SIP, WEBRTC, TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Strong understanding of network operating systems, specifically Cisco IOS and Junos.
• Experience in a Linux/Unix environment, including knowledge of DNS and DHCP.
• Proven experience with network security implementations and technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to database systems like MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, or other relational databases.
• Strong understanding of microservices design and distributed architecture.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, as well as building and deploying pipelines.

Experience

• A minimum of 8 years in network engineering or a related field.
