Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Sr IT Data Analyst to perform data analysis for a data warehouse/operational data store, data marts, and other data stores in support of the Optum business. The new hire will define and maintain business intelligence/data warehouse methodologies, standards, and industry best practices. You will work with the Development and Quality Assurance (QA) team to develop data delivery/processing solutions and to create a Data Dictionary that includes full descriptions of data elements and their usage.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements for analytical applications in an iterative/agile development model, partnering with Business and IT stakeholders.
  • Create source-to-target mapping based on requirements.
  • Create rules definitions, data profiling, and transformation logic.
  • Gather and prepare analysis based on requirements from internal and external sources to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Support Data Governance activities and be responsible for data integrity.
  • Develop scalable reporting processes and query data sources to conduct ad hoc analyses/detailed data profiling.
  • Research complex functional data/analytical issues.
  • Assume responsibility for data integrity and quality among various internal groups and/or between internal and external sources.
  • Provide source system analysis and perform gap analysis between source and target systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of healthcare business and data analysis experience.
  • Proficient in SQL, with a solid understanding of data modeling and storage concepts like Snowflake.
  • Aptitude for learning new data flows quickly and participate in data quality and automation discussions.
  • Ability to take end-to-end responsibility in quickly solving data issues in a production setting.
  • Familiarity with Data Platforms, Data as a Service model, and DataOps practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Highly preferred working knowledge of Kafka, Databricks, GitHub, Airflow, and Azure.
  • Experience with healthcare industry claims and eligibility.
  • Proficient in Python scripting.
  • Knowledge of AI models.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Environment

  • Type: Remote with 1-2 days in a month onsite at any HCL location (Noida, Gurgaon, Indore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai).
  • Shift Timing: 11 AM to 8:30 PM.

Salary

  • Estimated salary of 120K.
