Job Summary

The Sr. Java Backend Developer will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot. This position involves developing microservices and ensuring compliance with the Statement of Work (SOW) requirements. The developer will contribute to deploying applications in a cloud environment, specifically AWS, and ensure the seamless operation of backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on high availability and performance.
• Implement microservices architecture using Spring Boot to enhance application scalability and structure.
• Utilize Kafka for message streaming and Docker for containerization of applications.
• Ensure compliance with SOW requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Deploy applications in cloud environments, specifically using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Experience with Kafka for asynchronous communication.
  • Familiarity with Docker for containerization.
  • Knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others.
  • Expertise in building microservices and deploying them in cloud environments (preferably AWS).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools for backend applications.

Experience

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in backend development and microservices architecture.

Environment

• This position will follow a 2/3 hybrid work model, allowing for both remote and in-office work.

Salary

• Estimated salary range is between 1.5 to 1.8 LPM, depending on experience.
