Job Summary

The Business Analyst will be responsible for working on the Ingenium (Policy Administration System) to implement changes and enhancements as requested by business users. This role involves actively participating in requirement gathering, gap analysis, feasibility studies, and preparing functional requirement/design documents. The Business Analyst will collaborate with business users and the internal development team to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct requirement elicitation and gap analysis to identify business needs.
  • Collaborate with end users, business teams, and technology teams to provide clarifications and bridge gaps in understanding.
  • Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing requirements.
  • Prepare Functional Requirement Documentation based on project assumptions.
  • Plan and monitor change requests raised by different business user functions.
  • Provide walkthroughs to business users, development, and testing teams during project progress.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team during the testing phase.
  • Support end users during the acceptance process and manage migration activities.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to the maintenance team post-production movements.
  • Guide other IT application teams regarding changes in core and workflow applications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of policy administration systems, specifically Ingenium.
  • Proficient in requirement gathering, gap analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Excellent documentation skills for functional and technical requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to develop detailed project implementation plans.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of industry best practices for Business Analysts.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with audit processes related to team documentation.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis or a related field, particularly within the insurance industry.
