Job Summary

The Store Incharge plays a crucial role in managing inventory and ensuring the smooth operation of the store department. This role is essential for maintaining optimal inventory levels, supervising material receipt and storage, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Store Incharge contributes significantly to the organization's goals by facilitating efficient use of resources and minimizing wastage.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:

    • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and project demands.
    • Monitor the receipt, issuance, and consumption of materials, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
    • Conduct periodic stock audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with system records.
    • Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) principles for material handling.
    • Identify and manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory to minimize wastage.
  • Material Receipt, Inspection & Documentation:

    • Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) Department to inspect incoming materials for quality compliance.
    • Ensure materials meet required specifications before acceptance and record any non-conformities.
    • Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN) and coordinate QC approval before updating inventory records.
    • Maintain documentation of rejected materials and oversee their return or disposal as per QC instructions.
  • Storage & Space Utilization:

    • Design and optimize warehouse layout to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and movement of materials.
    • Classify and organize materials into designated racks or bins for ease of access and safety.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free store environment.
    • Follow guidelines provided by the QC department regarding storage conditions for sensitive materials.
  • Material Issuance & Dispatch:

    • Coordinate with the production and project teams to issue materials as per Bill of Materials (BOM) and work orders.
    • Ensure that only QC-approved materials are dispatched for production or project use.
    • Prepare and maintain material issuance records for traceability and future reference.
    • Manage material returns from project sites and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Procurement Coordination:

    • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of critical materials.
    • Track pending purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Provide stock consumption data to procurement for accurate demand forecasting.
    • Assist in supplier evaluation by providing feedback on material quality and delivery timelines.
  • Quality Coordination & Compliance:

    • Coordinate with the QC Department for:
      • Pre-receipt quality inspection and approval of incoming materials.
      • Documentation and handling of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
      • Ensuring calibration of measuring instruments used in material inspection.
    • Maintain batch-wise traceability and record QC approvals before material issuance.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations in material handling.
  • Record Keeping & ERP Management:

    • Update inventory records accurately in the ERP system to maintain real-time data availability.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
    • Maintain records of GRNs, material issue notes, NCRs, and supplier performance evaluations.
    • Implement barcode or RFID systems to streamline stock management and reduce errors.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain.
    • Additional certifications in Inventory Control, ERP Systems, or Warehousing are preferred.
  • Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum 7+ years of experience in store management, preferably in a façade engineering or construction company.
    • Proven experience in handling façade materials such as aluminum profiles, glass panels, sealants, and accessories.
    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Inventory Control Expertise: Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques and ERP systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in stock records and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with departments.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze stock consumption trends and suggest improvements.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with procurement, production, and QC teams.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure timely dispatch of materials.
  • Problem Solving: Capability to troubleshoot material shortages, quality issues, and discrepancies.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with façade materials such as curtain walls, glass panels, ACP, and aluminum profiles.
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements in material handling.
  • Experience in managing project-based inventories.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in store management.

Environment

The position will be based in Bangalore, India, specifically in the Peenya Industrial Area. The role is a full-time opportunity.
