Job Summary

The Business Finance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s strategic growth through financial planning, analysis, and decision-making. Acting as a strategic financial partner to the management team, the role involves working closely with sales, operations, and design teams to connect business metrics with financial health, ensuring scalable and profitable growth. The position goes beyond traditional reporting, focusing on driving data-driven strategies and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and financial forecasting processes, ensuring optimal resource allocation to support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with department heads to optimize unit economics, monitor project profitability, margins, and operational cost efficiencies.
• Translate complex financial data and actuals versus budget variances into clear, actionable insights for the leadership team.
• Design and track core business KPIs to monitor sales pipeline health, revenue realization, and identify early warning signs of financial risks.
• Act as a financial bridge across Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain functions to enhance capital efficiency and facilitate scaling.
• Develop executive-level financial narratives and automated dashboards to enable rapid, data-backed decision-making by founders and senior management.
• Drive cross-functional projects to evaluate new business opportunities and improve internal efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA in Finance from Tier 1 institutions.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong financial analysis and business acumen.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and leveraging AI for problem-solving.
  • Expertise in MIS reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau (preferred).
• Soft Skills:
  • Analytical mindset with strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
