Job Summary

The Vice President of Engineering for the Internet of Things (IoT) will play a pivotal role in leading the engineering team to drive innovation and advancements in IoT technologies. This position is responsible for overseeing product development, strategic planning, and ensuring the effective execution of technology strategies to align with organizational goals. The VP will contribute significantly to the company’s growth through strong leadership and management of engineering efforts across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the engineering team in the development of IoT products and solutions.
• Manage the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology strategy with business objectives.
• Oversee product management and development processes from concept through to delivery.
• Implement Agile methodologies to enhance project efficiency and team collaboration.
• Drive risk management initiatives to identify and mitigate potential project risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in engineering management, particularly in IoT or related technologies.
• Strong technical skills in IoT, embedded systems, wireless communication, and cloud computing.
• Proven experience in product management, strategic planning, and technology strategy development.
• Excellent leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
• Proficiency in project management and experience in agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in system architecture and product development for IoT solutions.
• Knowledge of risk management principles in technology projects.
• Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the IoT space.

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in engineering management or a similar role within the IoT industry.

Environment

• This is a full-time position based in Chennai. The role may require collaboration with remote teams and traveling occasionally as needed.

Salary

• Estimated salary range of ₹6,000,000 - ₹9,000,000 per annum.
