Job Summary

As a Founding Engineer at Kutlerri.ai, you will take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from designing systems and writing code to deploying features and observing real-world usage. You will work closely with the founding team to develop AI-driven products that address genuine operational challenges faced by restaurant operators. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of the company’s innovative solutions, working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on ownership, speed, and impact.

Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Product Development: Build customer-facing applications for restaurant operators, developing scalable frontend and backend systems. Own features end-to-end, from database schema design to user experience.
• AI Agents & LLM Systems: Develop and enhance AI agents utilizing Large Language Model (LLM) technologies. Design prompts, tool usage, memory systems, and workflows for AI agents. Implement guardrails and evaluation frameworks to ensure reliability.
• Integrations & Infrastructure: Build integrations with third-party platforms such as POS systems, email tools, phones, and calendars. Handle complex APIs and external data sources, creating clean internal systems from messy external data.
• Production Engineering: Ship features rapidly, monitor applications, debug issues, and improve system reliability. Build systems optimized for real-world customer environments.
• Technical Ownership: Take responsibility for technical decisions, system architecture, and ensuring the scalability and robustness of the products.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience building production software.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with experience in modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Proven experience shipping products used by real users.
• Deep understanding of APIs, databases, and system design principles.
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs beyond basic API usage, including prompt engineering, AI workflows, tool calling, or agent systems.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects forward.
• Educational qualifications such as a BTech, BSc, MSc, or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building AI agents or automation workflows.
• Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
• Experience with SaaS or B2B products.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of data pipelines and analytics systems.
• Startup or 0-to-1 product development experience.

Experience

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in building scalable, production-grade applications.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or on early-stage product development is a plus.
