Job Summary

The SAS Developer role involves implementing data integration workflows using various SAS tools, transitioning SAS programs to PySpark, and contributing to the optimization and documentation of SAS processes. Responsibilities

• Implement data integration workflows using SAS tools such as SAS Data Integration Studio.
• Sanitize and optimize SAS programs in preparation for conversion to PySpark.
• Utilize data accelerator to convert SAS programs while ensuring compliance with standards.
• Demonstrate and document code lineage effectively.
• Unit test generated PySpark programs, incorporating feedback from integration and testing phases.
• Analyze SAS processes and statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
• Develop and maintain SAS programs for automation and analysis.
• Manage SAS jobs, schedules, and work with SAS metadata.
• Ensure adherence to data security and privacy regulations during migration of SAS jobs and programs to production environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SAS, specifically in Base SAS and SAS Enterprise Guide (EG).
• Experience with SAS Mainframe is a plus.
• Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with big data processing and distributed computing systems like Spark and Kafka.
• Proficiency in Python and Scala for data manipulation and analysis.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Python and PySpark development.
• Knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
• Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines and notebooks.

Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in SAS development and data engineering.
