Software Development Engineer 3

Job Summary

The Software Development Engineer 3 will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining software solutions that enhance data ingestion processes. This position requires strong programming skills and a solid understanding of software engineering principles to contribute effectively to the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software frameworks and modules for data ingestion.
• Implement automated data quality and governance mechanisms in data ingestion processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions using Python, Java, or Scala.
• Utilize SQL and database technologies like Oracle and Databricks for data management.
• Apply DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, Helm charts, Conda, and Kubernetes.
• Work in a Linux environment to support software development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with Java or Scala is preferred.
• Core software engineering skills, including object-oriented methodologies and unit testing.
• Proficiency in SQL is a must.
• Familiarity with database technologies like Oracle and Databricks.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Developer.
