For more details you can visit us at www.equirus.com Position / Role Title Head of Custodian Business Job description Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the custody business, with accountability for strategy, operations, and client outcomes. • Drive robust client service while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance frameworks. • Oversee custody operations including securities settlement, clearing, safekeeping, and regulatory reporting. • Build and strengthen relationships with institutional clients, regulators, and key stakeholders. • Champion innovation, process optimization, and adoption of best practices in custody services. • Lead, mentor, and develop large teams to deliver high performance and service excellence. • Partner with Sales & Business Development to identify growth opportunities and expand the custody franchise. • Act as a hands-on leader, driving business transformation and positioning the custody business for future growth. Location(s) Mumbai Requirement Specification (Qualifications & Experience) • Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration. • 15+ years of progressive experience in custody services with a proven track record across operations, client service, clearing, sales, and business development. • In-depth knowledge of custody operations, securities settlement, regulatory reporting, and market infrastructure. • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing large, diverse teams. • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. • Proven ability to drive innovation, process improvement, and business transformation. • Young and energetic leader (early to mid-40s preferred) with the vision to build and scale the custody business. • Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.
