Job Summary

The QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through various testing methodologies. This role involves collaborating with development teams to identify testing requirements, develop test cases, and execute them to validate functionality and performance. The candidate will contribute significantly to the successful migration of large finance (banking) data projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing to evaluate system performance, reliability, and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that requirements are captured accurately and tested thoroughly.
• Identify, record, and track defects, providing detailed reporting and analysis of testing results.
• Conduct regression testing and verification of fixes in response to defects.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and provide updates on testing activities.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL and database testing.
  • Extensive experience with large finance (banking) data migration projects.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with API testing and tools such as Postman.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, specifically in finance or banking sectors.

Environment

• Hybrid work model with 2 days per week in the office located in Bangalore.
• Standard working hours from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.

Salary

• Estimated budget of 80,000 INR per month.
