Category Manager

Job Summary

The Category Manager (Intern) will play a key role in supporting category management activities, contributing to the development, execution, and monitoring of category strategies. The role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in managing product categories, ensuring adherence to auditing standards, and supporting overall business objectives. As an intern, you will work closely with senior category managers and cross-functional teams to enhance category performance.

Responsibilities

  • This is not just an admin role — it’s merchandising meets ops meets seller success. You’ll be responsible for making sure the site runs like a dream. You’ll:
    • Audit Listings: Ensure all product uploads (images, prices, descriptions) meet quality and brand guidelines

    • Coordinate with Sellers: Regularly follow up with stores and creators for missing info, price fixes, or stock updates

    • Keep Blumi Fresh: Suggest edits or removals for slow-moving or off-brand listings; help prioritize top products

    • Optimize Categories: Ensure products are tagged and placed in the right categories so users can discover them easily

    • Be the Bridge: Work closely with the founder and design/editorial team to highlight the best listings on the home feed or social

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum Experience Required: 0 years (Freshers and students are welcome to apply).

  • Relevant experience or coursework in category management, auditing, or related fields is a plus.
