DGM – MEP

Job Summary

The DGM – MEP will serve as the Cluster MEP Head within the Operation Team, responsible for adding value to the business by overseeing multiple projects from the Concept Design (CD) stage through to successful handover to customers. The role emphasizes delivering projects on time and with high quality, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple MEP projects within the defined cluster in the region, ensuring adherence to project plans, product design, and quality norms.
• Coordinate design efforts with internal and external stakeholders, driving timely resolution of site issues.
• Provide technical inputs for projects and collaborate with the costing team for cost optimization measures.
• Certify vendor bills on time and track cost of construction (CoC) on a weekly basis.
• Review all engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulatory standards, while providing cost optimization recommendations.
• Liaise with local statutory bodies for necessary approvals and represent the organization in meetings regarding MEP-related queries.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 12-15 years in the construction industry with a focus on MEP.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of MEP design and execution, including electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
  • Experience in managing consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals.
  • Basic knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, costs, and productivity.
• Familiarity with engineering management guidelines and standard formats for vendor appointment and technical reviews.

Experience

• Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, specifically in MEP management.
• Proven track record in real estate development and project management.
