RTR Consultant
Job Summary
The RTR Consultant plays a crucial role in the financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position involves collaboration with various departments to gather financial data, perform reconciliations, and support the preparation of financial statements. The RTR Consultant will also focus on process improvement and compliance, contributing to the overall efficiency of the financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with user departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Provide support for account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure appropriate adjustments are made.
- Prepare and post journal entries in SAP, ensuring sufficient supporting documentation.
- Assist in reviewing ledger balances and preparing audit schedules to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare daily/weekly bank reconciliations and ensure no aged items are present.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including the creation of internal orders and timely depreciation runs.
- Perform accurate recording of intercompany transactions and maintain proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Identify opportunities for RTR process optimization and collaborate with cross-functional teams for improvements.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests, providing necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A professional qualification such as CA Inter or CMA is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA is mandatory; familiarity with other SAP modules is a plus.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting frameworks and accounting standards (Ind AS, IFRS).
- Knowledge of accounting practices related to direct and indirect tax regulations in India.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx.
- Soft Skills:

- Effective communication skills for interaction with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in additional languages such as Bahasa, Portuguese, or Spanish.
- Familiarity with financial consolidation tools and data integration/automation tools.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Record to Report, Bank Reconciliation, intercompany accounting, or a similar role within a finance or accounting function.
- Experience in a financial shared services environment is preferred.
- Prior exposure to international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) is essential.
