New Product Quality Specialist
Job Summary
The New Product Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are embedded throughout the New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle. This role focuses on key areas such as document control, risk assessment, deviation management, and change control processes to ensure product quality and compliance.
Responsibilities

Document Management & Adequacy Review
- Maintain and control quality documentation including SOPs, policies, and manuals.
- Conduct adequacy reviews to ensure documents are current, compliant, and aligned with development and operational needs.
- Support digital documentation systems and ensure version control and traceability.

CRQS Development (Customer/Consumer Relevant Quality Standards)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document CRQS for new products.
- Ensure CRQS are integrated into product specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality control plans.
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory teams to ensure CRQS operational feasibility and compliance.
- Lead root cause analysis for CRQS-related deviations and drive corrective actions.

NPD Quality Risk Scan
- Lead quality risk assessments during New Product Development for Personal Care.
- Identify potential quality risks across formulation, packaging, and process design stages.
- Drive mitigation strategies and ensure integration into development plans.

NPD First Run
- Oversee quality validation during the first production runs of new products.
- Ensure on-site assessments and approve first runs based on predefined quality criteria.

Repetitive FP/FG Deviation Management
- Monitor and analyze trends in Finished Product (FP) and Finished Goods (FG) deviations.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Change Management SOPs & Transit Trials
- Develop and maintain SOPs for change management processes.
- Plan and execute transit trials to validate packaging integrity and product stability during distribution.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Quality Management.
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in product quality or product development (R&D) roles, preferably in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Pharma, or manufacturing.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of ISO standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in NPD quality, risk management, and change control.
- Proficient in Quality Management System (QMS) tools and documentation systems.
Preferred Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to manage multiple stakeholders.
- A high focus on customer centricity and effective communication skills.
- Technical experience in laboratory methods (e.g., GV/HPLC/UV/AAS/FTNIR/KF) is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulations applicable to the FMCG industry.
- Willingness to travel and relocate to another cluster in the future.
