We are seeking a result-oriented and dynamic Freight Operations Manager to lead and manage 3W EV-based freight operations in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day delivery execution, driver performance, vehicle utilization, and client SLAs. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, sustainability, and cost efficiency in EV-based last-mile logistics.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Lead daily freight operations involving a fleet of 3-wheeler electric vehicles in the Gurgaon region.
• Ensure on-time delivery and pickup performance as per client SLAs and schedules.
• Oversee driver scheduling, attendance, and route planning to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize vehicle utilization, battery charging cycles, and turnaround time.
• Manage fleet health, preventive maintenance, and coordinate with service teams for breakdowns or issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client coordination and issue resolution.
• Track and improve operational KPIs – delivery timelines, trip adherence, cost per km, and driver productivity.
• Ensure accurate data capture and timely submission of daily/weekly MIS and delivery reports.
• Collaborate with the central planning and tech teams for route optimization and real-time tracking.
• Drive a safety-first and process-driven culture among the drivers and ground staff.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and environmental norms relevant to EV freight operations.
• Identify and implement cost control measures across operations and maintenance.
• Support in driver hiring, training, and onboarding along with HR and engagement teams.

 

• Work with charging infrastructure providers or internal teams to manage energy supply and charging logistics.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate in Logistics/Supply Chain/Operations Management or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in logistics/fleet operations (EV operations is a strong plus).
• Strong understanding of freight delivery operations, especially last-mile logistics.
• Proven team management and vendor coordination skills.
• Tech-savvy with knowledge of transport management systems (TMS) and fleet monitoring tools.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving attitude.
• Flexible to work in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with Gurgaon/NCR geography and local transportation ecosystem.
