Job Summary

The Foglight Developer will play a critical role in integrating and optimizing Foglight within the organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for developing customized monitoring solutions, enhancing application performance, and ensuring that the Foglight system meets the evolving needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Integration and Configuration:

  • Lead the integration of Foglight with existing IT infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Configure Foglight components to align with business requirements, focusing on scalability and efficiency.

• Development and Customization:

  • Develop custom monitoring solutions and scripts to extend Foglight capabilities and address application-specific requirements.
  • Create and maintain custom dashboards, alerts, and reports using Foglight.
  • Automate processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and monitoring accuracy.

• Monitoring and Performance:

  • Oversee the deployment of Foglight to monitor application performance, database, and infrastructure health.
  • Analyze system performance metrics and create detailed reports on key performance indicators.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues within the monitoring environment to minimize downtime and enhance performance.

• Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure Foglight meets organizational needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to teams using Foglight, ensuring they are fully trained and supported.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Foglight-related inquiries and issues, offering expert guidance.

• Optimization and Best Practices:

  • Continuously evaluate and implement best practices for monitoring and alerting processes.
  • Optimize Foglight configurations and dashboards to improve overall system performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in IT with a focus on monitoring solutions.
• Proficiency in Foglight and its integration with various IT systems.
• Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar languages).
• Experience in creating dashboards and reports within Foglight.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and troubleshoot effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with other monitoring tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud-based environments and their integration with monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and application performance management (APM) concepts.

Experience

• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in IT, specifically in monitoring and performance management.

Environment

• Full-time position based in Gurugram. Immediate start required.
