Job Summary

The Technical Consultant will play a crucial role in bridging technical expertise and client interactions. This position primarily focuses on cloud and data engineering within client-facing environments, requiring a blend of technical knowledge and strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native data solutions utilizing AWS services.
• Manage data processing and optimization tasks using Python and SQL within various data processing environments.
• Conduct database migrations, ensuring smooth transitions to cloud-native data lakes.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions while maintaining strong relationships.
• Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools to manage deployments and streamline CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a technical role involving client-facing responsibilities.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep experience with AWS services including S3, Athena, Glue, and RDS (Postgres).
  • Strong proficiency in Python, particularly with libraries like Pandas and PyArrow.
  • Extensive experience in SQL for query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark, specifically PySpark for big data processing.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and essential practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) in AWS.
• Skills in data modeling and data cataloging.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt quickly to changing client needs.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical roles with an emphasis on client interfacing in cloud and data engineering projects.

Environment

The role is based in Singapore, primarily in a client-facing consultancy capacity. The work environment may involve collaboration with teams onshore and offsite, emphasizing effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
