QA Engineer (Manual)

Job Summary

We are seeking a QA Engineer who brings a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, functionality, and performance of our applications across mobile (iOS/Android), web, and backend systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of testing principles, strong problem-solving abilities, and technical curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Conduct both white box and black box testing to ensure application quality.
• Perform testing on various platforms including mobile applications (Android & iOS), mobile web, and web systems.
• Execute and maintain API testing to validate service operations.
• Utilize and manage software QA tools and processes effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own and ensure adherence to quality standards, principles, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Monitor for urgent issues/tasks outside of regular business hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA experience demonstrating a hands-on approach to quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficient in database management and query writing using databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos, etc.
• Solid knowledge of API Testing and experience with CI/CD tools and scripting.
• Familiarity with one or more Cloud Platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in diverse teams.
• Experience with Infra, Networking, Logging, Monitoring, and Web servers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Agile methodology.
• Background in startup and/or product development environments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Curiosity and a proactive attitude; not afraid to speak up and share ideas.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant QA experience.
