Job Description: NPD Manager / Assistant Manager (Nutraceuticals)

1. Role Objective

As Pee Safe expands into the Nutraceuticals and Wellness category, we are seeking an agile and technically sound NPD Manager/Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will spearhead the development of our supplement portfolio, working with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) to bring high-quality, innovative products to market.

2. Key Responsibilities

   Product Ideation & Development: Drive the end-to-end NPD process for various formats including Tablets, Powders, Effervescents, Melts, Gummies and Capsules. Contract Manufacturing Oversight: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with third-party manufacturers. Act as the primary technical point of contact for external partners. Formulation Management: Review, refine, and approve product formulations. Ensure all products align with the brand’s efficacy standards and cost-of-goods (COGS) targets. Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all formulations and packaging labels comply with FSSAI and other relevant Indian regulatory standards. Project Management: Maintain a strict "Launch Calendar." Coordinate between marketing, supply chain, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of pilot and commercial batches. Quality & Stability: Oversee stability studies, shelf-life testing, and quality control protocols for all outsourced manufacturing. Sourcing: Facilitate the sourcing of unique or proprietary raw materials/active ingredients in coordination with the manufacturer.

3. Qualification & Experience

   Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology, M.Sc. in Nutraceuticals, or M.Pharm. Experience: 3-5 years Industry Background: Mandatory experience in the Nutraceutical, Dietary Supplement, or Functional Food industry. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of ingredient interactions, RDA limits, and FSSAI (Health Supplements) regulations.

4. Key Competencies

   Vendor Management: Proven ability to manage external manufacturers and negotiate technical timelines. Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret lab results and stability data to make informed product decisions. Agility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment where multitasking is essential. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between "Marketing Vision" and "Technical Feasibility."
