QA Automation Engineer – Selenium + Python

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Selenium and Python to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure high product quality and seamless user experiences. This role is crucial for enhancing our testing capabilities and delivering robust software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test suites using Selenium with Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts) to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform regression testing, sanity checks, and smoke testing for ongoing releases.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain and improve automation frameworks and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, test case reviews, and contribute to process improvements.
• Document test results and prepare quality reports as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation with a strong focus on Selenium and Python.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test frameworks like PyTest or unittest.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman or Python-based API test automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust) is a plus.
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) or other relevant certification is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QA Automation is required.

Environment

• This is a hybrid work role, requiring presence in the office 8–10 days per month. Locations include Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, and Noida.

Salary

• The estimated budget for this position is 1.3 Lakhs per month.
